I actually thought these were for human consumption when we first walked in. Like samples. From Sams Club or something. Lol. It was the stingray bait though.

 We had a wonderful day at the Aquarium!! A high school friend of mine took us behind the scenes to see all the furry animals which made it extra special!! We also reunited with Melissa and Claire(bear)!! 

We started with story time where we met the fattest frog ever. Eloah showed the most interest in this guy, I'm pretty sure its because his cage was very tupperware like. Her favorite. Then they brought in the BINTURONG!! It is like a mix of a cat, otter and bear. People would maybe call it a bearcat. But its not. I don't care what you call it. It was soooo cute and actually friendly!! It was surprising how friendly a wild animal in a room filled with children could be. She has been popping up in my 'newsfeed' on Facebook for a few months now so I was so excited to finally meet her!! Then we got to go back and see the porcupine. A huge pokey guinea pig basically. I always think of porcupines as being mean just because they have huge spears all over their backs but this one was so sweet. Just wandering and sniffing around the room as we stood there talking to it and petting its head (carefully)! We also got to see a SLOTH! Ive only seen cartoon sloths so it was cool to see one in real life! Haha!! There was also a hedgehog and humongous Madagascar Cockroaches! I held the cockroach and have no clue why I didn't ask to hold the HEDGIE!! He was a cute little pokey nugget!!!

After we saw all the furry (and pokey) animals we walked thru the aquarium!! We saw all kinds of turtles, fishes, stingrays and mermaids. Haha! The mermaid show was awesome. The girls really didn't seem so impressed but Melissa and I were mesmerized!!! I would have liked to have had a little more Little Mermaid incorporated in the show but we learned a lot about recycling. So that was good. Haha. 

On our way out we stopped to feed the stingrays! That was pretty awesome!! They are like little ravenous vacuums sucking the dead fish out of your fists. 

It was such a fun day. It was so fun to see Melissa and Clairebear again, its been so long! We had lots of catching up to do. It is so fun to go thru Mommyhood together! Especially because our babies are close in age too!! I am so lucky to have so many non-baby having friends who are so supportive but its so fun to share these experiences with other mommies and babies, too!! 

Tomorrow we are off to the Childrens Museum and Pedicures!
